Contest Winners!

| | Comments (4)
Some of you may have noticed that we recently update the "Design to Inspire" contest winners. After the winners were announced earlier this week, it was brought to our attention that the design of the First Place winner was not an original work, as the contest rules required. Therefore, that submission was disqualified from the contest. As a result, "River at Night," by Teresa is now the First Place winner. "Live and Learn," by Gollykim is the Second Place winner. We have a new Third Place winner picked by our judges:  "Vector Drips," by Terri.

Congratulations to Terri for joining the winners... and to all of the winners for their inspiring designs!

While I'm glad to see that you did the right thing, I would like to know why it was ignored when this very thing was brought up in an earlier thread before voting ended. The exact entry in question was mentioned, and it could have saved everyone time and effort and embarrassment if you had done something then.

Did my status as voter's choice eliminate me from then running for the other prizes?

Hi Noah,
Congratulations on winning the most popular user votes. You should be very proud of a job well done! To answer your question, there were several categories that the judges considered when selecting the winner. The judges looked at all criteria when making their decision. On another note, we have been trying to reach you about the contest but our emails bounce back. Please email jpeach@sixapart.com at your earliest convenience.

Yes, I read that they decided based on various categories. I'm still not completely mollified by your response, and I know of others just as concerned with the results of the contest. Regardless, I've emailed. Thanks for your reply.
