We're listening

|

First, I would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback about the contest. This is the first time we have ever held a contest like this, and not only are all your comments welcome, but they are incredibly helpful as well. Going forward, we will take all of your feedback into great consideration in order to ensure that all our contests are fair and engaging.

That being said, we are sorry to say that because of the way the contest site was built, it is far too difficult at this point to the rotate the popular themes. However, this is a great suggestion for future contests and going forward, we will work to ensure that everyone's entries have a chance to be seen and recognized. Though we realize some of you are frustrated with the lack of popular theme rotation, please don't let this discourage from entering your design. After all, when the judges go to choose the winners, the criteria is as follows: style (40%), originality (30%), composition (25%), and votes (5%). The People's Choice is the main part of the contest that votes alone play a big part.

Finally, because Six Apart and HP are both US-based companies, we must follow very specific laws related to contests, sweepstakes, prizes, etc. Although everyone can enter into the contest to get public recognition, unfortunately, non-US residents are not eligible to win any of the prizes. Once again all your comments will help us make our contests better in the future, and we thank you for all your participation!

Vote. Vote. Vote.

Just a little reminder that there are a couple of weeks left in the contest, so keep telling people to vote for your design!

Community Prize

|
Just like the People's Choice Award on TV, we will be giving out a recognition award to the theme that gets the most votes from their peers during the contest. The "prize" will be that the winner will get his/her theme featured on LiveJournal, Vox and TypePad. This is a contest purely based on votes so tell all your friends and family to vote for your design! The same rules apply for eligibility in this contest as they do for the overall contest. Feel free to read the contest rules for more information. Time is going quickly so go get people to VOTE!

We Are Off to a Great Start

|
We have had a great turn out so far! StormyWeather has taken the lead at this point with Chickadee, World Stair and Riot of Color not too far behind. If you need some fresh ideas for your next banner see HP's/Gwen Stefani's new design layouts on TypePad, Vox, and LiveJournal. If you have any questions or comments we would love to hear them!

Welcome!
